ART AS A DISCIPLINE

To begin with lets ask ourselves who is an artist?
According to the dictionary we can sum up an artist as:

  •  someone who has a knowledge of: design, drawing, painting.
  • whose profession is a musician, an actor,a singer or  public performer.
  • a person whose work exhibits exceptionally skill.
  • a person who is an expert of trickery or deceit.

An artist has his/her own: special abilities, strong points, preference and a different point of view. Lets take drawing and paintings for example, some are good painters others are good drawers while others are both gifted in both. There are those who neither have painting skills nor drawing skills but have an artistic creativity and interpretation that even some artists have.

Art is a brain booster or rather call it food for thought. Take it that you constantly plan your things around your house, office, garden and so on to look neat. The image itself of what should be placed where and how is an artistic impression.

The special abilities I talked about earlier varies. I being an artist during childhood used to draw cars and buses as well as cartoon faces. The skill was based on what I see then I draw but unfortunately after joining high school I stopped drawing its been 10 years since. When I recently started drawing again approximately 3 months ago I found that I have to look at a piece of art then duplicate it, independent creativity isn't there yet good thing I'm getting there.

When drawing a face some start with the eyes then nose while others start with the mouth first. Most of the times depending on the kind of drawing I start with one side of face starting with the eyes the nose then the shading and hair comes after. Drawing a landscape I start with up slope headed down-slope. My biggest challenge though is drawing 3D art, something I'm willing to give my all to top up to my list of do's.

Coming up with something to draw is partially dependent on  google searches and newspapers. After I find something that pleases I set my time and effort onto it. When I started this blog I had no idea what I wanted it for until a few days ago  when I decided to make it an art blog.

You should brush any good, life-changing skill and keep it at its best
